I downloaded the trial version of photoshop to help me decide on car paint. i figured out how it worked but whenever i am using the lasso tool to outline the car, every once and a while photoshop breifly refreshes and connects my lines (sort of like you hit enter) so i cant finish the real outline. if i have undo or backstep it erases the whole lasso. any ideas???

You must hold down the whole time you outline anything, or else it will create a straight line connecting where you began and where you ''left off''

If you just want to change the colors try this:
Go to : image %26gt; adjustments %26gt; Hue/saturation then set the hue by shifting it from left till right.
This will do the job and it's more accurate, if there are any details which you don't want to change color
use the history brush (it's in your tool pallet)
